V Festival Internacional de Stop Motion do Brasil
24 - 28 November, 2015 | Cinema São Luiz | Unicap | Fundaj | Recife | PE

It’s with great joy that we come to the fifth edition of the Festival Internacional Brasil Stop Motion, from November 24th to 28th in Recife. During the festival, national and international films will be screened and there will be a screening with audio description for the blind or people with loss of vision. We will also have a children’s session and a children jury will choose the best Children’s Film in 2015.

To celebrate the occasion, we’ve prepared a special program for all of you. As the honored guest we have the Czech director Jan Balej, who will attend the whole festival, and will premiere his beautiful film Malá z rybárny (Little from the fish shop) at the opening of Brasil Stop Motion. It is the first time that this stop motion feature film, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s tale will be exhibited in South America. Balej will also give a master class for animators and the general public.

This year, the Brasil Stop Motion has received 275 films from 46 different countries. All the activities at the festival are free of charge. Soon, we will inform the films selected for the Competitive Exhibition.
